This community-sourced Wiki is open to ASLA member landscape architects, designers, academics, and students, along with allied professions in the fields of ecology, biology, and conservation sciences. 
Resources in this Wiki are organized by ASLA Chapters and then the Level 2 Eco-Regions found in those Chapters.

About the Wiki 
The Wiki is overseen by the ASLA Climate & Biodiversity Action Committee Biodiversity Subcommittee. 
ASLA Chapters work together across Level 2 Eco-Regions to oversee regional information. ASLA Chapters and their members and allied professionals are welcome to add information to the Wiki.

ASLA Climate & Biodiversity Action Plan
Landscape Architecture 2040: Climate & Biodiversity Action Plan is organized into two volumes – one for ASLA members, which include landscape architects and designers, educators and students, product manufacturers and material suppliers, and one for ASLA and ASLA Chapters. Both volumes are organized around four key goals:
Climate: Scale up climate positive approaches
Biodiversity: Protect, conserve, restore, enhance and manage
Equity: Amplify the power of people and communities
Advocacy: Advance climate and biodiversity action through leadership and engagement
The new plan is designed to act as a resource and guide the climate and biodiversity work of landscape architecture firms and organizations of all sizes. It will also direct all ASLA climate and biodiversity programs and investments from 2026 to 2030. Collective goals and actions will be revisited and updated in 2030 and every five years until 2040 and beyond.

Biodiversity Primer for Landscape Architects
Biodiversity Primer for Landscape Architects: Essential Knowledge to Inform Meaningful Action offers direction on how to mitigate the biodiversity crisis through design and planning work. It provides landscape architects the baseline information needed to support biodiversity through projects at all scales. It introduces foundational information that enables meaningful collaboration with allied fields, such as ecologists and biologists, during the planning, design, and management phases.

The state of the biodiversity crisis
Global 30 x 2030 goals
The five key biodiversity priorities
How to design with landscape ecology principles
How to design for biodiversity across scales
How to measure impact
How to steward a site for biodiversity
This resource is the first of several to support the implementation of the ASLA Climate & Biodiversity Action Plan (2026-2030). It will be updated periodically to reflect the shifting state of nature and global priorities and the latest research.
